Xiaomi has officially confirmed the launch date of the Xiaomi 18 Pro series. The official announcement comes along with Xiaomi’s promise of major changes across performance, cameras, displays, and battery technology. In case you’re unaware, the company’s CEO, Lu Weibing, teased the Xiaomi 18 Pro via a hands-on video last week.
Xiaomi 18 Pro Series launches September 23 in China with 2nm chip, dual 200MP Leica cameras
In a Weibo post, the company announced that the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max will launch in China on September 23, 2026, at 7 PM local time. Xiaomi has also confirmed that the Xiaomi 18 Pro series will pack a 2nm chipset. However, it hasn’t officially named the processor.
Considering that Qualcomm is expected to unveil two next-gen Snapdragon chips on September 22, the Xiaomi 18 Pro models will most likely use the powerful ones. Xiaomi has also confirmed a Leica dual 200MP imaging system. So, expect a 200MP main camera with a 200MP periscope telephoto.
As far as the display is concerned, Xiaomi says the phones use a new-generation Super Pixel screen with its M11 luminescent system. Meanwhile, the front bezels will measure a mere 0.99mm. Not to forget, Xiaomi is not giving up on its dual-display design. The upcoming Xiaomi 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max will feature a rear, horizontal display, while the camera lens sits vertically on the extreme left. That’s not all; the screen will help users with timers, water-intake tracking, focus tools, and more.
Bigger battery and in-house battery technology
In terms of battery, the Xiaomi 18 Pro will likely pack a 7,000mAh battery. The 18 Pro Max goes even further with an 8,500mAh battery. Xiaomi has confirmed that both the Pro models will use Xiaomi’s Jinshajiang battery technology with 32 percent silicon content. Xiaomi is also likely to include 100W fast wired charging support on the Xiaomi 18 Pro.
