At one point in time, the single-spoke steering wheel was an amusing sight. It looked out of place and didn’t really offer much in the way of obvious advantages over standard steering wheels. These days, steering wheels have become extremely complicated, multi-spoke affairs laden with buttons, paddles, audio controls, and oversized airbag compartments.
