The Vivo X Fold 6 was announced at the end of June in its homeland, China. We were waiting for the phone’s global launch, and it just happened: the Vivo X Fold 6 is now officially a global smartphone with software aimed at markets outside of China.
The difference in battery capacity vs the China model is negligible
It’s pretty much the same phone, spec-wise, aside from one small change in the battery department. Instead of a 7,000mAh unit, it’s coming with a 6,900mAh battery. That’s still a gigantic battery and a small difference compared to the original model.
The Vivo X Fold 6 comes in Black and Blue colors for global markets. The Blue model is especially eye-catching, as it kind of changes shades based on light intake. It’s a really nice shade of blue, cyan-like.
The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Edition, a 3nm chip with the Arm Mali-G1 Ultra MC12 GPU. That is paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 flash storage. The storage is not expandable, by the way.

Two gorgeous AMOLED LTPO panels are used here
The main display on the phone is an 8.02-inch panel with a resolution of 2504 x 2312. That is an AMOLED LTPO panel with an adaptive refresh rate (1-120Hz). HDR10+ is supported, and the peak brightness is 5,000 nits. Dolby Vision is also supported.
The cover display measures 6.51 inches, and it offers a resolution of 2528 x 1120 pixels. It’s an AMOLED LTPO display with an adaptive refresh rate (1-120Hz). Its brightness goes up to 5,000 nits, and Dolby Vision is also supported.
Android 17 comes with Vivo’s Android skin for foldables, which is packed with features
Android 17 comes pre-installed on the phone, with Vivo’s OriginOS 7 skin. A 6,900mAh battery sits on the inside, as mentioned earlier, and supports 80W wired, 40W wireless, and also reverse wireless charging. The charger is also included in the box, by the way.
The phone has a side-facing fingerprint scanner, and it also has a customizable action button. Stereo speakers are included, and it’s IP58, IP59, IPX8, and IPX9 certified. Bluetooth 5.4 is supported, as is Wi-Fi 7.

The camera setup here looks great on paper
This phone has rather impressive cameras considering it’s a foldable device. It includes a 200-megapixel main camera (f/1.68 aperture, 1/1.4-inch sensor size, Samsung HPB sensor, OIS, ZEISS T* coating).
A 50-megapixel ultrawide camera (f/2.05 aperture, 1/2.76-inch sensor size) is also included, as is a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera (Sony LYT 602 sensor, 1/1.95-inch sensor size, f/2.57 aperture, 3x optical zoom).
The phone measures 157.16 x 145.66 x 4.4-4.8mm when unfolded, and 157.16 x 74.26 x 9.4-9.9mm when folded. The Black model weighs 228 grams, while the Blue model weighs 235 grams.
Vivo has not announced the pricing for the global model yet.
