A strategy we’ve been noticing when it comes to phones made by Chinese OEMs is that sometimes, certain models remain exclusive to the region. Or if they do eventually reach a global audience, it arrives at a later date. However, for those of you who have been keeping an eye out for the Vivo X300 Ultra, the company has confirmed it will make an appearance at MWC 2026 as the “first global preview.”
Vivo X300 Ultra will make its global debut at MWC 2026
MWC 2026 is taking place next week. The event will run from March 2 to March 5. Vivo will take the opportunity to give us a global preview of its upcoming flagship smartphone. Vivo’s launch suggests that we’ll also see the phone launch in international markets, but when exactly that will happen remains to be seen.
The Vivo X300 Ultra that is making its debut at MWC is part of the company’s X300 series of phones. This includes the base X300 and the X300 Pro, which we reviewed and found to have stellar photography capabilities, thanks to Vivo’s partnership with ZEISS. While we don’t have the specs of the Ultra model yet, rumors suggest that the ZEISS partnership will continue.
What we know about the X300 Ultra so far
In addition to the ongoing ZEISS partnership, rumor has it that the cameras on the phone are going to be just as impressive as the Pro, if not more so. This is apparently due to the use of a 5MP multispectral sensor. The sensor is said to help the phone’s cameras capture the most accurate colors possible.
It is also rumored to feature a 200MP main camera using Sony’s LYT-901 1/1.12-inch sensor. Another 200MP periscope telephoto camera is expected to accompany the main camera as well. There have also been rumors that the phone could support an industry-first dual-lens external teleconverter kit. This will expand the camera’s telephoto capabilities even more.
Other rumors include the use of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The phone will also feature a 6.2-inch BOE LTPO display while packing a 7,000mAh battery.
