It seems like the Vivo X Fold 6 will get a major battery upgrade. The Vivo X Fold 5 includes a 6,000mAh battery, while its successor will ship with much more capacity, based on a new report.
The Vivo X Fold 6 will get a massive battery upgrade with a 6,900mAh unit
The Vivo X Fold 6 has seemingly surfaced on China’s 3C authority. That is basically a certification website, and according to what we can see there, the Vivo X Fold 6 will ship with a 6,900mAh battery.
That’s a 900mAh increase in battery capacity, and it’s great to see. It will trump even the global HONOR Magic V6, a book-style foldable with a 6,660mAh battery. Just to be clear, we’re looking at a silicon-carbon battery here, of course. Do note that one version of the Chinese HONOR Magic V6 has a 7,150mAh battery (1TB model).
Out of all the book-style foldables on the market, the Vivo X Fold 6 will be second in terms of battery size, only to that specific Chinese HONOR Magic V6 model. If Vivo ends up using this 6,900mAh battery in a global variant of the phone as well, it will be a global version with the largest battery.
This will be a dual-cell battery, of course
It is a dual-cell battery, by the way, as expected. We’re looking at a 2,807mAh + 3,863mAh combo, which gives us a rated value of 6,670mAh. So its typical capacity is expected to be 6,900mAh.
The Vivo X Fold 6 is expected to arrive in the near future. The Vivo X Fold 5 launched in June last year, so the X Fold 6 will likely follow very soon. The phone is expected to utilize the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor, along with a 200MP main camera, a 50MP ultrawide unit, and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera.
