The once-State Farm-dominated office park in Dunwoody will soon have a new look. Workspace Property Trust wants to convert the offices into condos. The company is applying for a rezoning that would allow them to build condo units at 64 Perimeter Center East and 66 Perimeter Center East into an age-restricted rental community with 125 units. The company acquired the site in 2022. State Farm moved into new headquarters nearby in 2022.
The Atlanta Business Chronicle reports a maximum of 449 units are proposed for the entire 16-acre site, including over 100 for-sale townhomes that are expected to replace a surface parking lot.
The two office buildings have been vacant since State Farm left for its nearby Park Center campus. The 15-story, 385,000-square-foot building at 64 Perimeter Center was built in the mid-1980s, and the 8-story, 200,000-square-foot building at 66 Perimeter Center was built in the early 1970s.
