US Mobile is the latest carrier to bundle home internet with its wireless plans. But since US Mobile doesn’t own its own network like AT&T or Mint Mobile (which is owned by T-Mobile), they needed to partner with someone. That someone is Starlink.
Lately, Starlink has been added to what seems like everything. United Airlines has recently added Starlink to its fleet, and Hawaiian Airlines already uses Starlink for in-flight WiFi. Now, US Mobile is adding it, beginning on Thursday.
US Mobile announced this on their subreddit last night, and it apparently includes unlimited data on Warp, Darkstar or Lightspeed networks (their names for Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile’s networks), as well as Starlink for home internet – which will be uncapped according to US Mobile’s cofounder.
They haven’t announced pricing yet, but said that the bundle would be less than $50 a month, including internet from Starlink. This should put major ISPs like Comcast and Spectrum on edge.
What is US Mobile?
If you’ve somehow been living under a rock and haven’t heard of US Mobile, here’s the skinny of it. US Mobile is an MVNO that operates on all three national networks in the US. I’ve been a US Mobile user for a couple of years now, and there’s really no going back to the big, bloated postpaid carriers that overcharge you for the same service. And now with the Starlink bundle, I might be able to ditch Comcast, too.
