One UI 9.5 beta firmware has been spotted on the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Well, it was spotted on Samsung servers for the Galaxy S26 Ultra, but regardless, it seems like a beta program is right around the corner.
One UI 9.5 was spotted on the Galaxy S26 Ultra, suggesting a Beta Program is coming
The firmware version in question is S948BXXU6ZZK3. The company could open registrations for the beta program very soon. It is also worth noting that Samsung upgraded the phone’s bootloader version from U5 to U6.
We expect the beta program to kick off either later this month or early next month. This update will also be based on Android 17, just like One UI 9, which has been rolling out to Samsung phones for a while now.
One UI 9.5 will almost certainly debut with the Galaxy S27 series early next year. Samsung is expected to announce four phones in that series: the Galaxy S27, Galaxy S27+, Galaxy S27 Pro, and Galaxy S27 Ultra. They’re expected to arrive in January or February.
The Galaxy S26 series will be amongst the first devices to get the One UI 9.5 update
The Galaxy S26 series, including the Galaxy S26 Ultra, will be amongst the first to get the One UI 9.5 update, following the Galaxy S27 series’ arrival. Those three phones, plus the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series and Galaxy Z Flip 8, will likely be the first to get it. That could easily happen in Q1 2027.
If you’re eager to participate in the beta program, however, that shouldn’t be a long wait at this point. We still don’t know what exactly will One UI 9.5 bring, though. We don’t have any information about it whatsoever.
One UI 9 did bring a number of interesting upgrades. That update brought more customization options to Quick Toggles, a deeper Gemini integration, more AI features, updates for several Samsung apps, a slight change in the look of One UI, and more.
