OnePlus is gearing up to announce the Pad 4 later this month, as the company has now confirmed that the OnePlus Pad 4 will launch on April 30.
The leaked specs of the OnePlus Pad 4 show that it’s definitely going to be a beast. This includes a 13.2-inch 3.4K display with a 144Hz refresh rate, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, 12GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, and a massive 13,380mAh silicon-carbon battery. It’ll also continue to sport 80W charging like the OnePlus Pad 3 offered last year.
OnePlus is also rumored to be launching it in two colors: Dune Glow and Sage Mist.
If the OnePlus Pad 4 is anything like the OnePlus Pad 3, this is going to be the tablet to get. I still believe that the OnePlus Pad 3 is the best Android tablet on the market, and the perfect iPad alternative.
When and where will the OnePlus Pad 4 launch?
We already know that the OnePlus Pad 4 is launching in a couple of weeks, but what markets will it launch in? It’s tough to say right now, with all the rumors of OnePlus leaving different markets. It will definitely be available in China, and potentially India. But when it comes to the US and Europe, that’s less likely.
The bigger question is price, because we can still import the OnePlus Pad 4 and not have to worry about carrier network support. But with the rising costs of RAM, NAND and now CPU components, it’s very likely that the OnePlus Pad 4 will see a price increase over the Pad 3 – which started at $699.
If there is a price increase, that would bring it closer to the price of the iPad Pro, and lead many to wonder if they should just buy an iPad instead, with a better ecosystem of accessories and better app selection.
