This is the iPhone 20, according to Jon Prosser, and it looks oddly familiar.
Next year, Apple is set to release the iPhone 20, which is going to be a huge redesign, like we saw with the iPhone X ten years ago. But wait a minute. This looks an awful lot like the Pixel 11 series, without the flat edges.
It appears that Apple has seen how smart that camera bar design is, and decided to use it on the iPhone 20. Now keep in mind that this is the base model, not the “Pro” model, which could maintain the same camera plateau that debuted on the iPhone 17 Pro series last year.
An interesting design tidbit here is that the iPhone 20 is bringing back the curved sides, however. After years of flat sides — sharp sides, even — that virtually every other company has copied, Apple has decided to go back to the curved sides that older iPhones used. This should make it easier to hold onto and more comfortable in the hand.
iPhone 20 is also slated to use silicon-carbon
Prosser also mentions that the iPhone 20 will use a few new technologies, including silicon-carbon. Now, battery life on the iPhone is already pretty good. It outperforms a lot of flagship Android phones – except for the massive 7,000mAh and up Chinese phones. So using silicon-carbon could make it even better. But Apple could also use this to make the phones thinner, as incoming Apple CEO John Ternus is apparently a big fan of the iPhone Air.
It will also use TSMC’s 2nm process for the A21 Pro chip, which will be faster and more efficient, as you’d expect.
This is apparently going to be a luxurious iPhone from Apple, setting its path for the next decade. Just like the iPhone X did for the past decade.
