I was not a fan of the current BMW Z4 Roadster; it felt too soft to be called a sports car and too firm to be a grand tourer. It also felt like a car that BMW made out of obligation rather than passion, sharing its platform with the Toyota GR Supra to save on cost, which is why the Z4 felt overshadowed by superior but similarly-priced models in the lineup, like the M2. So how the heck did it end up as my favorite car of 2025?
