T-Mobile is essentially forcing the T-Life app down the throats of its customers. Look, we get it. It’s all in the name of efficiency. But if you’re going to force customers to use your app, the least you could do is make sure it works, right? Unfortunately, a number of T-Mobile T-Life customers are facing issues when using the app.
T-Mobile’s T-Life app is having issues
According to a post on Reddit, one user is complaining that they are having issues with the T-Mobile T-Life app. One of those issues stems from repeated prompts to login. “When I go to the app, it used to pull up my login and password automatically. Now it has to ask for the password again. When I typed it in it will login fine, and 2 hours later it asks for the password again, it doesn’t seem to remember the login credentials.”
The second issue seems to be about accessing certain functions of the app. “When l logged in, if I go to ‘Manage’ it seems fine, but if I go to anything under ‘Billing options’ or ‘Account Management’ or ‘Promotions’ these options do not do anything, behaving as if the options are ghosted. For example “order history” does nothing. I exited the app, stop the app, cleared cache, didn’t make a difference. Anyone having the same issue?”
It seems that they’re not alone either. According to the response from other Reddit users, they have been having similar problems as well.
Customers are stuck between a rock and a hard place
Unfortunately for T-Mobile customers, there’s nothing they can do. Like we said earlier, the carrier is basically forcing the app on everybody. In the past if you ran into problems, you could walk into a store or call the hotline. But now, T-Mobile wants to make sure that all customer-related activity is done through the app.
The carrier has been working in stages to migrate more of its services to the app. Based on a recent timeline, most of T-Mobile’s services will be done through the app by the end of the year. This wouldn’t be a problem if issues like the ones mentioned above didn’t keep happening. But until T-Mobile gets the issues sorted, this is the reality that its customers have to live in.
