Price Increases
Pricing for cars typically increases annually; this is set by brands and usually reflects inflation rates. Sometimes price increases are incremental; in other cases, they’re big, depending on the brand. Some brands even increase prices without any update to the car whatsoever. Worst of all, some models get updates so minor that they don’t correspond to the equivalent price increase.
In Subaru‘s case, the star-spangled brand decided not to upset the balance by keeping the price of its EV lineup the same.

Same Recipe
The Subaru Trailseeker was sold for $39,995 in 2026, and for 2027, it will retain the same starting price. Overall, the 2027 model remains largely the same as the 2026; in terms of looks, nothing changes, nor does the car’s performance.
It will still feature the same Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system that pushes the 375 hp to the road (or trail). 0-60 mph is still done and dusted in 4.3 seconds, making it the quickest Subaru production model ever sold in the U.S., and it has a total EV range of 281 miles.

New Pricing Structure
The Trailseeker’s battery system also supports fast charging, capable of up to 150 kW via the now-standard North American Charging Standard (NACS) outlet. Using NACS opens Trailseeker owners up to 25,000 charging stations across North America, and the fast charging can shorten charging times (10% to 80%) in just 28 minutes.
Most of the key changes for the 2027 Trailseeker comes in the form of the variants and pricing structure, while the starting price is the same, the higher variants change things up just a little bit. In 2026, leather upholstery was a $300 option; for 2027, a new Touring Leather variant has been added to the list, omitting the previous $300 option. If you want leather, you’d better pay the $46,855 for the top-spec.
Of note, the prices mentioned here don’t include the mandatory $1,475 destination charges.
