Sony has just launched a new color for its popular WH-1000XM6 over-ear headphones. This time, they are available in a new Olive Gray color, which adds to the existing lineup that includes Black, Silver, Midnight, Sand Pink, and Sandstone.
This is the third new colorway that Sony has brought to the WH-1000XM6 so far this year. Sony says that this Olive Gray color is a neutral wardrobe staple and is inspired by natural design. It’s a sophisticated aesthetic for consumer tech, while delivering Sony’s popular studio-quality sound and industry-leading noise cancellation.
This new color is going to be available starting today, with a retail price of $459 USD, or $599 CAD for the folks up north. It’s available on both Sony.com and Amazon.

Sony’s popular WH-1000XM6 are now available in a new color, olive gray!
Sony’s WH-1000XM6 are the best consumer-grade headphones the company offers
With the WH-1000XM6, Sony is using its QN3 processor to provide the best sound and noise cancellation possible. It operates 7x faster than the older QN1 chip and dynamically runs 12 real-time microphones to optimize active noise cancellation.
Sony also has Adaptive NC, so it can change how much noise cancellation you’re getting. For instance, if you’re on a plane and talking to the flight attendant, the WH-1000XM6 can turn off noise cancellation and even pause your music, so you can hear them. There’s also Ambient Sound Mode, which can help block out outdoor sounds.
But the big feature with the WH-1000XM6 is the fact that they can finally be folded again. A feature that was taken away with the WH-1000XM5 for some reason. This allows them to fold up into a small section of your bag. Especially important for those of us who are traveling with a backpack where space is limited.
You can purchase the new Olive Gray color starting today for $459 here in the US.
