Several more budget Samsung smartphones are now getting the Android 17-based One UI 9 update. The devices in question are the Galaxy M17, Galaxy M56, Galaxy A15, and Galaxy F17. These phones follow tons of other devices that already received the update.
Several budget phones from Samsung are now getting One UI 9
The Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55 started getting this update very recently, and now more budget phones are in line to get it. The update weighs over 2GB for each phone, as this is a brand new version of Android that you’re getting.
The update is rolling out in stages, and your phone will let you know once it’s available. You can always manually check, though, if you’re impatient, and hopefully speed things up slightly. You can do so via Settings -> Software update -> Download and install.
Having said that, the One UI 9 update does bring some new features and options to the table. It delivers a more customizable Quick Toggles section. You can now basically resize everything and arrange it so that it suits your needs.
New AI features are on board, along with a deeper Gemini integration
Deeper AI integration is also a part of the package, while Samsung updated some of its own applications. New accessibility features have also been added via this update, and much more. General performance improvements are also on board, along with underlying Android 17 improvements as well.
Samsung managed to deliver this update to quite a few phones in a rather short time span, and it’s quite impressive that even lower-end devices are included along with everything else. Compared to how slow Samsung was with updates in the past, it’s really nice to see how well it has been doing in recent years.
The Android 17-based One UI 9 update is on the way, but be patient; it may take some time until all Galaxy M17, Galaxy M56, Galaxy A15, and Galaxy F17 units get it.
