Samsung is quite busy these days, as it’s moving quickly on One UI 9 development. The new UI may debut in stable form on its next-generation foldables, rumored to debut next month. Meanwhile, the company has been expanding the internal test builds for a range of Galaxy devices. The good news is that it isn’t limited to flagships, as mid-range and affordable models are also getting in on the action. In the latest, the One UI 9 firmware has been spotted for the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra on the Samsung server.
Samsung reportedly starts testing One UI 9 for Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra
The unreleased firmware for the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra carries the version X926BXXU8EZF2. Based on Samsung’s firmware naming, this indicates a new One UI version. Considering the tablet is currently running on One UI 8.5, the new firmware most likely features the upcoming skin, One UI 9. This signals that testing of the new software has started for this Samsung tablet.Â
That said, the rollout timeline/schedule is not out yet, so we’ll have to wait for a while. Samsung will gradually roll out the new version to all eligible devices after its debut on the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Flip 8 foldables. One UI 9 is currently available in beta capacity for the Galaxy S26 series. With every new beta update, we’re coming across new features. Most importantly, the tech giant has been ironing out the bugs to make the experience smoother.
New customization options and improved accessibility features
Based on Android 17, One UI 9 brings a bunch of new customization options, especially for Quick Panel. Then there are improvements to accessibility features and overall security. It also brings improvements to Samsung DeX, location indicators, and much more. Samsung Notes is getting creative new tools, including decorative tapes and a variety of pen line styles. The Contacts app will offer direct access to Creative Studio for creating personalized profile cards.
