Samsung has just started rolling out its July 2026 Android security update to a dozen smartphones. That update rolled out to the company’s current-gen flagships already, along with plenty of other devices. Still, considering the sheer number of phones Samsung has on the market, plenty more just received it.

Amongst those devices are the company’s past foldable flagships, some mid-rangers, and even entry-level devices. The Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Z Fold 4, and Galaxy Z Flip 4 are now getting the update.
In addition to those phones, the Galaxy A57, Galaxy A54, Galaxy A33, Galaxy A27, Galaxy A26, and Galaxy A15 are on the list as well. The same update is coming to all of these devices. The rollout has started in Korea, by the way.
It usually takes Samsung only days to expand these updates to various other markets, so it’ll likely reach your region soon, if it hasn’t already. The update is rolling out in stages, though, so keep that in mind.
This update brings 57 security fixes to the table
This update brings forth 57 security fixes. Out of those 57 fixes, 41 come from Google, while the remaining 16 are provided by Samsung. 5 issues that have been fixed have been marked as ‘critical’, while this update also fixes 42 ‘high-severity’ issues and 7 ‘moderate’ vulnerabilities.
To our knowledge, this update does not bring new features or any other changes other than the security patch. As is usually the case, there’s always a chance Samsung snuck in something in at least some of these devices; we cannot be sure.
Either way, the update’s rollout has kicked off, so all you need now is to be patient. You can always manually check whether the update is available, but the phone will let you know, so there’s no need for that.
