Next month, Samsung is preparing to launch its next set of foldable devices, which is going to include the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra (while the Galaxy Z Fold 8 will be the “wide” foldable we’ve seen leaked quite a bit). Now, ahead of Unpacked, we’re starting to see more about these new foldables, including the wallpapers.
Now, this is not your typical wallpaper leak. This is a leak showing the wallpapers on another device, in this case, a non-foldable, as @fahadalijaved says in his tweet. So those saying that it’s not the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, it definitely is not.
The wallpapers honestly look pretty boring. Mostly a slight tweak to the Galaxy S26 wallpapers from earlier this year. But this does not mean that these are all of the wallpapers that will come on the new Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8, and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra when they launch next month.
Samsung’s Unpacked is rumored for July 22
Samsung has not yet sent out invites for Unpacked, which will likely come a bit later this month or possibly early next month. But the rumors are pointing to a July 22nd event in London this time around. Last year, Samsung brought the whole tech world to Brooklyn for the Galaxy Z Fold 7, and now it’s back to being an international event.
Surprisingly, the Summer Unpacked event has only taken place in the US once since the pandemic ended. With the 2023 Unpacked being in Korea, 2024 in Paris due to the Olympics, and Samsung being a huge Olympic sponsor, this year it will be in London.
At this event, Samsung is expected to launch a ton of devices, as is typically the case for Samsung. In addition to those three phones, we are also expecting the Galaxy Watch 9 series, Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, and possibly at least a teaser of the new smart glasses they are developing with Google, Warby Parker, and Gentle Monster.
