Samsung is apparently preparing a successor to the Galaxy Fit 3, which will launch later this year.
The Galaxy Fit 3 launched back in 2024, in select countries. It was hugely popular because it was smaller than the Galaxy Watch and also cost less. Now, Samsung seems ready to release a successor, at least according to Sammobile.
The publication says that they’ve received information that Samsung is developing a Galaxy Fit 4, which will launch this year but not at Galaxy Unpacked. This could be saved for the crop of devices they launch in the Fall around IFA. Typically that is the “FE” range of devices.
There’s no word on what improvements we can expect from the Galaxy Fit 4, but it is unlikely to run WearOS. The Galaxy Fit 3 did run on an RTOS-based operating system, which is part of the reason why it was available at a cheaper price.
Galaxy Fit 4 is unlikely to be an answer to Google’s Fitbit Air
Last month, Google released the Fitbit Air, which has been incredibly popular. So popular that they can’t keep them in stock in really any store. They can’t even keep the swappable bands in stock. This shows just how popular these screenless fitness trackers are getting now.
Given the timing, it sounds like the Galaxy Fit 4 could be an answer to the Fitbit Air, but it has likely been in development since the Fit 3 was released, if not longer.
Personally, I’m still hoping for a screenless fitness tracker from Samsung. Something that works with Samsung Health, which I much prefer over Google Health. But I’d be very surprised if Samsung made it work with iOS, which is really Google’s secret sauce with the Fitbit Air so far.
The Galaxy Fit 4 will likely launch around September with the Galaxy S26 FE and a few other devices at IFA.
