Samsung has been pushing the April 2026 security patch to its eligible smartphones and tablets. The list includes mid-range models and flagships, like the S24 and S23 lineups. However, for some reason, the company hasn’t extended it to its FE (Fan Edition) models so far. Well, that’s finally changing now. The Galaxy S23 FE and Galaxy S24 FE are now finally receiving the April 2026 update.

Samsung’s April 2026 security patch fixes 47 security issues, of which 33 fixes are from Google as a part of the Android Security Bulletin for April 2026. 10 fixes are coming from Samsung Mobile, and 4 are coming from Samsung Semiconductor. Among the fixes, some are marked as high-severity and some as moderate. While it doesn’t offer any new features, it improves device security by fixing key vulnerabilities from the previous version of the OS.
Both the Galaxy S23 FE and S24 FE are eligible to get One UI 8.5, based on Android 16 QPR2. However, the exact rollout timeline is not clear at the moment, but we’ll tell you when that happens. This upgrade will bring new features, more customization options, and AI enhancements.
