Samsung is officially changing how the One UI Beta program works to make testing new software updates completely painless. According to an official notification published inside the Samsung Members app, the company is rewriting its testing rules starting with the upcoming One UI 9.0 rollout with a simplified registration layout. The company now gives you total freedom to hop in and out of eligible test builds with just a few taps.
One-and-done agreements
The first major friction point to hit the cutting room floor is the repetitive paperwork. Previously, users had to manually sign a fresh set of Beta Terms and Conditions for every single device model they owned. Moving forward, you only need to read and accept this legal agreement a single time. Once you give your initial consent, it remains valid across the board, allowing you to jump into subsequent testing phases instantly.
Additionally, the development team created a permanent section inside the Samsung Members app called “One UI Beta Home.” This dashboard will stay visible on your screen throughout the entire year, regardless of whether a public testing window is currently active. From this central command center, you can monitor exactly which experimental operating system builds are ready for your specific smartphone or tablet, as SamMobile reports.
Total freedom to change your mind
Enrolling in a cycle remains simple: you can click on the traditional promotional banner at the top of the app or browse directly through the new dedicated hub. But the real upgrade is what happens when you want to leave.
If a pre-release build proves too buggy for your daily routine, you can navigate to the details screen, open the “More” menu, and hit a single withdrawal button to opt out. The system allows you to instantly return to the latest stable retail software release. Even better, if you change your mind later on, the app lets you rejoin the exact same testing pool without forcing you to start the registration from scratch.
Lastly, to support these changes, Samsung revamped its built-in Tips interface. The section now acts as a comprehensive manual covering secure data backup strategies, installation steps, rollback troubleshooting, and a detailed list of answers to frequently asked questions.
