A rather interesting new report has now been shared by ACSI (American Customer Satisfaction Index). It relates to telecommunications, smartphones, and smartwatches. The report itself is quite lengthy, but we’re here to pick and choose the most important info for you.
Let’s start with phones. A year ago, a sharp drop in “cell phone satisfaction” was marked. That’s not the case this year, though. ACSI says that cell phone satisfaction increased 1%, as manufacturers found a way to add capabilities while preserving battery reliability.
Samsung beats Apple in US customer satisfaction rankings
It was noted that Samsung is at the very top with 81 points, ahead of Apple with 80, while Google and Motorola share that third spot with 77 points. Customer assessment of AI feature debuted with a score of 85; it’s one of the highest-rated attributes.
When it comes to flagship phones alone, Samsung is leading the list with an 84-point satisfactory rating, and is being trailed by Apple with 82 points, and Google with 80 points.
What about foldables? Well, Samsung is leading the race with an 80-point satisfaction rate. Google is second-placed with 72 points, and Motorola third with 70 points.
When it comes to smartwatches, customer satisfaction holds at an ACSI score of 77 for the second year. Satisfaction with Samsung watches has dropped a bit, and it’s now on the same level with Apple, with a score of 80 points.
T-Mobile sits above AT&T and Verizon
Wireless phone service satisfaction gained ground in 2026. It rose 3% to an all-time high ACSI score of 77, after it dropped by 1% last year. T-Mobile stands at 78 points, while both AT&T and Verizon are at 76 points.
Satisfaction with full-service mobile virtual network operators rose 4% to 77 points. Value mobile virtual network operators are still the highest-rated at 79 points.
I need to reiterate that this report is strongly focused on the US market, as this is ACSI we’re talking about. That’s why the focus was on companies that operate in the US, of course.
