Samsung is looking to spice things up quite a bit in 2027, it seems. According to a new report, Samsung will announce its biggest foldable lineup ever, with six models in tow. One of those models is particularly interesting.
Samsung is planning to announce six foldables in 2027
The information comes from Anthony, a tipster, who is also known as TheGalox. He claims that in addition to the expected Galaxy Z Fold 9, Galaxy Z Fold 9 Ultra, Galaxy Z Flip 9, and Galaxy Z TriFold 2 models, two additional foldables are coming.
The Galaxy Z Fold 9 Pro will become a thing. If we had to guess, we’d say that this is a wide foldable as well, as a second wide foldable was rumored. This one will be more expensive than the Galaxy Z Fold 9 and thus have more to offer in terms of specs, probably. We’re only guessing at this point.
The world’s first rollable, aka slideable smartphone could be included
The phone that is truly interesting, though, is the last one on this list… the Galaxy Z Slide. We’re not entirely sure that will be its name, but it’s possible. Either way, this thing will become the world’s first slideable, aka extendable, aka rollable, smartphone.
This will not technically be a foldable phone, but its display will roll, so its display will fold in a way. In any case, many of you probably know that LG was close to announcing the world’s first rollable phone years ago.

That smartphone never got to see the light of day, as LG decided to ditch smartphones altogether before the device was released. It did manage to end up in the hands of quite a few people since then.
We’re not really sure what the Galaxy Z Slide will look like, but it’s easily the most interesting phone on this list, as it’s bringing new tech and a new form factor to the table.
The tipster also notes that the Galaxy Z TriFold 2 will kick things off next year, hinting that it will be the first foldable phone to arrive. That is not exactly surprising, as the Galaxy Z TriFold arrived in December 2025.
