The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Galaxy S25 series are now getting new features from the Galaxy S26 series. We’re talking about features that were excluded from the One UI 8.5 stable build that arrived.
Samsung is pushing some Galaxy S26 features to the Galaxy Z Fold 7 & Galaxy S25
These new features seem to be a part of the June 2026 Android update we talked about yesterday. That’s a security update, and at first, it seemed like nothing new in terms of features was included. Well… it is.
Samsung included some Galaxy AI features that have been available on the Galaxy S26 since launch. The features in question are: Prioritize Notifications, Summarize Notifications, and File Summaries.
The Prioritize Notifications feature essentially shows important notifications first, just so you don’t miss them. Galaxy AI is in charge of recognizing important notifications, and it makes its decisions based on their content and information about you.
The second feature is called Summarize Notifications, and as its name suggests, this feature summarizes long notifications into a simple summary to save you time.
The third and last feature that was added is called File Summaries. This feature can generate AI-powered summaries of PDF and TXT files, as well as recordings from the Voice Recorder. This is arguably the most useful feature, as it can save you a ton of time.
In addition to these three features, the update also delivers 45 security fixes
As we mentioned yesterday, this update also delivers a security boost to the devices. The rollout started in Korea, but it will quickly spread to other markets. It weighs around 900MB, and it brings 45 security fixes overall. 33 of them come from Google, while the remaining 12 have been provided by Samsung.
Even when the update does reach your region, it will roll out in stages. So, you’ll have to be patient, as per usual.
