About the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 is the company’s new shape, foldable. It is now shorter and wider than previous foldables from Samsung. And a big reason for this is so that you can take better advantage of that inner display. Which is now going to be more of a landscape orientation when you unfold it.
Technically, this is Samsung’s new base Fold phone, slotting in lower than the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, which is actually the successor to last year’s Galaxy Z Fold 7. Inside, it has the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. Samsung also included a larger battery this year, at 4,800mAh, along with faster charging.

About the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra
This is the spiritual successor to the Galaxy Z Fold 7 from last year, with the skinnier cover display and square-ish inner display. It did get a few upgrades this year, like an all-new inner display which is now mostly crease-free, thanks to some titanium.
Like the regular Galaxy Z Fold 8, the Ultra model is also powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy along with RAM and storage options up to 16GB and 1TB, respectively. It also gets a battery and charging boost to 5,000mAh and now 45W charging. Still behind the Galaxy S26 Ultra, but much better than the Galaxy Z Fold 7’s 25W.
