Samsung finally pulled back the curtain on the full Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 colors lineup at Unpacked in London, and the palette leans softer than past generations.
The standard retail colors are Cream, Graphite, and Lavender. All three foldables in the Galaxy Z8 series share Graphite and Cream, while each model also gets one unique standard color. For the Z Fold 8, that unique shade is Lavender, a lighter and more playful option than the usual black or silver flagship treatment.
Cream is the safe, timeless pick. It’s an almost-white color with a silver frame and a camera island in the same shade for a clean, cohesive finish. Graphite sticks to the familiar dark gray, near-black look that tends to outsell every other option on launch day.
Then there’s the color everyone’s actually talking about: Pistachio.
This one is a Samsung.com exclusive, meaning you won’t find it at Best Buy, your carrier store, or anywhere else. It’s not available for purchase unless you buy straight from Samsung.com or Samsung Experience Stores.
As for what it actually looks like, Samsung went with an all-green look for its exclusive colors this generation, and Pistachio is described as a vibrant green that doesn’t feel oversaturated or unpleasant. Some outlets have called it more warm-toned and deeper than the Mint shade Samsung used on last year’s Z Fold 7, which makes sense since Pistachio is essentially the successor to that finish.
If you want something that stands out in a sea of black and silver foldables, Pistachio is the move. Just know that going with an online-exclusive color usually means it’s a little harder to source spare parts or accessories down the line if you’re not careful with your phone.
For most buyers, though, the choice comes down to taste. Graphite and Cream are the safe bets. Lavender splits the difference. Pistachio is for anyone who wants their Z Fold 8 to actually get noticed.
