Samsung has started rolling out its Android 17-based One UI 9 update in the US. The Galaxy S26 series on T-Mobile is now getting the update. We’re looking at the following build numbers: S948USQU4BZID, S948UOYN4BZID, and S948USQU4BZID.
One UI 9 is now reaching the Galaxy S26 series users in the US
The update weighs a bit over 4GB. The Galaxy S26 series’ One UI 9 rollout started in Korea about a week ago. Well, it’s not spreading to other markets, as the US is first in line. Considering that the update is hitting T-Mobile, it will soon reach other carriers and roll out to unlocked devices too.
Your phone will let you know once the update is available, though you can always check manually and possibly speed things up slightly. You can do that via Settings -> Software update -> Check for updates.
We still don’t have a changelog for this update for the Galaxy S26 series, but we know what to expect. Now Nudge will be a part of the update, an AI feature that monitors your on-screen activity to provide contextual action cards at specific moments.

Quick Panel is also getting an update, as you’ll be able to customize it to an even higher degree. It will also look a bit different from the get-go. Deeper Gemini AI integration is also a part of the One UI 9 update. The same goes for My FanCam and more.
Samsung’s One UI 9 update debuted on the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip 8 series devices back in July. The Galaxy S26 series represents the first phone to get One UI 9 update following those three foldables.
A lot more devices are expected to get One UI 9 in the coming weeks and months. We’re guessing that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 are next in line, alongside the Galaxy S25 series of devices. The Galaxy S26 FE could also get it very soon.
