Samsung has accidentally leaked the name of the Galaxy A27, confirming that it plans to launch a third phone in its Galaxy A lineup. The Galaxy A27 has leaked a few times before now, most recently via 3D CAD renders. It also leaked a couple of weeks before that, with the leak mentioning “major upgrades” to the chipset and the front camera.
With the Galaxy A27 on board, Samsung will be offering these more affordable devices at three different price points. The recently launched Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57 retail for $399 and $549, respectively, so the Galaxy A27 should sit somewhere around the $299 range.
Samsung’s accidental Galaxy A27 name leak shows up in the Galaxy Wallet compatibility list
As reported by SamMobile, the Galaxy Wallet compatibility list references the Samsung Galaxy A27 by name, a leak which is said to have shown up on the Samsung Brazil website. While there’s nothing other than the name mentioned, other leaks have already rumored potential specifications and hardware changes. The phone is suspected to come with a front camera that supports 4K video recording, and come powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset.
It’s also said to retain the three-camera setup for the rear cameras, with a 50MP sensor for the main camera. Additionally, it could end up with a 5,000mAh battery and support 25W wireless fast charging. It’s also said to come with a 6.7-inch display. When it comes to colors, it’s suspected to come in the purple color shown in the CAD render, though the exact shade of that color could change slightly by the time the phone is released. Samsung is likely to launch the phone in at least one other color, as the Galaxy A26 came in four color options when it launched back in 2025.
