Samsung Community to go offline for 72 hours for a major overhaul
Samsung Community is a popular hub among Galaxy buyers. It connects users of Galaxy smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, and earbuds. Owners of the product can discuss things, ask questions, share tips, and seek help from other users. The Korean tech giant is now taking it offline for 72 hours to carry out a major upgrade. The platform will be offline starting at 5:00 AM ET on Friday, October 30, 2026, until 5:00 AM ET on Monday, November 2.
During the scheduled downtime, the members will not be able to access older messages or post new content in the community. Moreover, Samsung has warned that some saved data will not be carried forward. Therefore, users are advised to save any important information before the platform goes offline.
Draft posts, direct messages, and bookmarks will not be transferred
Samsung has confirmed that draft posts, direct messages, bookmarks, and subscription settings will not be forwarded into the upgraded community platform. Certain personalization data linked to accounts may be lost as well. Users who rely on the aforementioned features must review their account and keep copies of important information.
Talking about the upgrade, the company has planned many changes to the Samsung Community. To begin with, users will no longer be able to delete posts that have received comments or comments that have received replies. Moreover, only top-level comments will be eligible to receive the accepted-solution label. Replies to such comments will not qualify for the label. The planned maintenance will also improve the platform’s stability and security.
Last but not least, Samsung Members services outside the community and Galaxy devices will continue to work as usual.
