Netflix is going to be the official partner for GTA 6, at least in one very specific way. Rockstar Games has announced that Netflix will be streaming the next opportunity to see the game in action. GTA 6 is getting ever closer to its official release on November 19. At that time, it’ll launch exclusively for PS5 and Xbox Series consoles, with a PC release rumored to happen in the future. So far, Rockstar has released two official trailers for the game, one of which was the official announcement trailer.
Since then, players have been begging for a third trailer that contained any morsel of information or details about the game that they don’t already have from either the trailers or the official website. Trailer number three is just weeks away, but it won’t be landing on YouTube like the past couple of trailers. At least not immediately.
Netflix will be presenting an extended look at GTA 6 on August 27
It’s unclear what specific content or information Rockstar will be publicizing with this extended look, but what is confirmed is that it will be streaming on Netflix later this month. In a post on its official Rockstar Games account on X, the studio announced that on August 27, an extended look at the game would be streaming on Netflix.
The new trailer will be showing up on Netflix on that date at exactly 12PM Pacific Standard Time/3PM Easter Standard Time. That’s a Thursday three weeks from now. You will need a Netflix subscription to access this content, and it’s not clear if it will need to be a specific tier.
The good news is that Rockstar Games isn’t making the extended look exclusive to Netflix forever. The same trailer will go out on the Rockstar Games YouTube channel later that evening, at 6PM Pacific Standard Time/9PM Eastern Standard Time.
