
Rice University, whose arts undergraduate programs have been steadily gaining traction, will now offer free tuition for students from families earning between $100,000 and $200,000 each year, starting with the cohort matriculating in 2027.
The Houston university previously provided free tuition to students whose family income ranged from $75,000 to $140,000, and covered tuition, mandatory fees, and room and board to students from families that earned up to $75,000 (which has now been raised to a $100,000 threshold).
