A new rumor has surfaced regarding the specs of the REDMAGIC Gaming Tablet 5 Pro, detailing a handful of advancements that REDMAGIC reportedly wants to make for its next gaming tablet that hits the market. This isn’t the first time that specs about the device have surfaced. At least a couple of rumors have popped up before now, but this latest rumor might just have the most interesting information yet.
REDMAGIC is said to be adding liquid cooling tech to the Gaming Tablet 5 Pro. The company debuted its liquid cooling tech on the REDMAGIC 11 Pro, but has since not been put in any other devices. The liquid cooling tech is mentioned alongside other specs such as a 185Hz refresh rate display. It’s also stated that the tablet will come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. That last detail is expected. REDMAGIC usually goes for the most powerful flagship Qualcomm has to offer. And as of right now, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 is the latest mobile chip.
REDMAGIC Gaming Tablet 5 Pro specs include a 9-inch OLED display
In addition to the liquid cooling and the display’s refresh rate, the rumor, which comes from Digital Chat Station on Weibo, states that the tablet’s display size will be 9 inches. It will also be an OLED panel with a resolution of 2,400 x 1,504. Additionally, it’s stated that it will have a battery capacity of 8,300mAh, as well as RAM and storage options that start at 12GB + 256GB, and go all the way up to 24GB + 1TB.
Digital Chat Station also mentions the available colors, which are reportedly Tritium Transparent Silver Wing, Tritium Transparent Dark Night, and then the Gold Legend which is likely a tweak on the ‘Golden Saga’ color it launched for the REDMAGIC 11 Pro.
REDMAGIC is slated to reveal this device sometime in the near future. The company has teased that it will be launching sometime in April or May, which means it’s no more than a month and a half out.
