REDMAGIC is pulling out all the stops trying to get users hyped over the launch of the Gaming Tablet 5 Pro, and one of the ways it’s making that attempt is by sharing performance details for the device. Because what better way to get mobile gaming enthusiasts excited than by sharing how good the performance will be for your gaming hardware?
To that end, REDMAGIC has taken to Weibo to share details via its official account. Specifically, it’s confirming a few specs while also showcasing the tablet’s capability to be used for more than just mobile games. Mobile games are great, and as the world’s largest gaming platform these days, it makes sense to offer hardware that mobile gamers can squeeze the most performance out of.
Having said that, it’s even better when that device is powerful enough to offer something like, say, PC game emulation. And that’s apparently what gamers are getting with the REDMAGIC Gaming Tablet 5 Pro. A device that’s more than powerful enough for the most demanding mobile games. But also a tablet that’s powerful enough to emulate PC games.
The REDMAGIC Gaming Tablet 5 Pro performance will let you play your Steam games
It might be hard to fathom, but the REDMAGIC Gaming Tablet 5 Pro is apparently powerful enough to run Steam games. Granted, this is through PC game emulation and not directly installing the Steam client. After all, there isn’t a Steam client for Android.
As reported by Notebookcheck, the PC game emulator will come pre-installed on the tablet and it will have support for Steam games. It’s not clear if this means all your Steam games or just certain ones. However, REDMAGIC’s shared image does show icons for Final Fantasy VII Remake and The Witcher 3. So it’s highly likely that this will include a fair amount of popular, well-known titles.
REDMAGIC also once again confirms that the tablet is coming with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.
