Japanese cars may be best known for their reliability or, in some cases, their impressive sportiness, but one brand is willing to take American carmakers on in their own field of expertise – off-roading appeal and adventurous spirit. This, of course, is none other than Subaru. The eastern brand has developed an incredible all-wheel-drive system that is equipped to every one of its models, from the smallest Impreza hatchback through to the three-row Ascent SUV. This gives them a certain degree of versatility that many mainstream rivals struggle to compete with, even in the SUV segment.
