Populous, a global architecture and design firm known for major sports and entertainment venues, has expanded at RXR’s Starrett-Lehigh Building while extending its current lease, bringing its total footprint to approximately 16,500 square feet on the building’s 14th floor. The space at 601 W. 26th St. in Manhattan’s Midtown South has served as Populous’ New York office for the past five years.
In the two leases, it extended the tenancy of its approximately 10,000-square-foot space with a three-year renewal and expanded into an additional 6,500 square feet for a seven-year lease term. RXR was represented in-house by Denise Rivera.
William Elder, RXR’s EVP, managing director of NYC Division, said, “RXR is very pleased that Starrett-Lehigh has such a diverse and creative roster of tenants, including Populous. We look forward to their continued tenancy and seeing them continue to enrich Starrett’s strong tenant community.”
