Caviar unveils Zodiac iPhone Duo
Perhaps one of the biggest differences from the Caviar Zodiac iPhone Duo compared to the company’s other releases is the level of customization. Given the name, it is clear that these iPhone Duo designs were inspired by the Zodiac signs.
First, you pick one of the 12 star signs. That gets you a “base” design built around a zodiac wheel. After that, you can swap materials on the frame, the back, the wheel and the medallion in the middle. You can choose from options such as meteorite inlays and gemstones. There’s also gold, forged carbon and crocodile leather. Caviar says every sign has over a million possible builds.
That being said, given the use of luxury materials and gemstones, these phones won’t come cheap. For example, the starter Capricorn pairs black titanium with forged carbon and runs about $14,800. Then for the default Aquarius, which goes with silver and navy crocodile leather, jumps to roughly $18,615. Worth noting is that those are the prices for the 256GB model. This means that you’re really paying for the bling, and less on the tech specs.
When you’re happy with a build, Caviar gives you a code. Send it to a sales manager, and they’ll lock in the price and take your order. Each phone also gets hinge and display checks before Caviar sends it out.
Not their first rodeo
Caviar has been quite aggressive with its releases in recent times. Ahead of the Apple iPhone Duo’s official announcement, Caviar already started to offer various luxury designs. They also have luxury versions for the iPhone 18 Pro series.
Honestly, we’re not sure who exactly is buying these luxury smartphones. Maybe some see the use of gold and gemstones as an “investment.” Either way, most of us are definitely not Caviar’s target market, but it’s nice to see how the 1% lives.
