The time has come to compare Samsung’s latest flagship smartphone with the very best OPPO has to offer at the moment. In other words, we’ll be comparing the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra vs OPPO Find X9 Pro. Do note that the OPPO Find X9 Ultra is coming in about a month, and that it will launch in global markets. We’ll be comparing that phone with the Galaxy S26 Ultra as well, when the time comes.
We’ve reviewed both the Galaxy S26 Ultra and the OPPO Find X9 Pro, and these two are considerably different smartphones. That goes for both their designs, internals, and so on. That’s what should make for a good comparison, though. We’ll start things off by listing the specs of both phones, as we usually do. Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra vs OPPO Find X9 Pro: Design
Both of these phones are made out of aluminum and glass. In fact, both of them have Corning’s Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on their backs. Both phones also include a flat frame all around. There is also a centered display camera hole at the top of both displays. The OPPO Find X9 Pro has a bit more rounded corners, but they’re not exactly sharp on the Galaxy S26 Ultra either. The bezels around both displays are very thin and uniform. They’re a bit thinner on the Find X9 Pro, though.
Both phones include their power/lock and volume up and down keys on the right-hand side. The positioning is also rather similar. However, OPPO also includes two additional keys. There is the camera key on the right side, and the action key on the left side, which replaces the alert slider. The Galaxy S26 Ultra, on the other hand, comes with an S Pen stylus, which is tucked away inside the phone. It is accessible from the bottom.
The back side on both smartphones is flat. Their camera setups do look quite different, however. The Galaxy S26 Ultra has five cutouts, three of which are on top of a pill-shaped camera island. The OPPO Find X9 Pro includes all of its cameras on top of a camera island, and it has three cameras, compared to four on the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The OPPO Find X9 Pro also has better ingress protection with IP68 and IP69 ratings, compared to an IP68 certification on the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Both phones are slippery, by the way, and the Galaxy S26 Ultra is a bit taller, wider, and thinner, while being 10 grams lighter as well.
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra vs OPPO Find X9 Pro: Display
The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra features a 6.9-inch Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X display. That panel has an adaptive refresh rate (1-120Hz), and it supports HDR10+ content. The peak brightness is 2,600 nits. The screen-to-body ratio is at around 91%, while the resolution is 3120 x 1440 pixels. When it comes to display aspect ratio, it’s 19.5:9 on this phone. The display is protected by the Corning Gorilla Armor 2.

The OPPO Find X9 Pro, on the other hand, has a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display. That display can project up to 1 billion colors, and it supports an adaptive refresh rate (1-120Hz). It has a high-frequency PWM dimming (2,160Hz) and supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and HDR Vivid. The peak brightness is 3,600 nits, while the screen-to-body ratio is at around 91%. The resolution is 2772 x 1272, while the display aspect ratio here is 19.5:9. This phone’s display is protected by the Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
Both of these displays are great, actually. They’re vivid, have great viewing angles, and they’re more than sharp enough. The touch response is good on both phones, but each has some benefits. The Galaxy S26 Ultra tackles glare better thanks to Gorilla Armor 2, and has that Privacy Display feature to combat shoulder surfers. The OPPO Find X9 Pro’s display has high-frequency PWM dimming for sensitive eyes, and it also gets a bit brighter outdoors. Both are plenty bright, though.
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra vs OPPO Find X9 Pro: Performance
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chip fuels the Galaxy S26 Ultra. That is an overclocked variant of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, a 3nm processor. That chip is backed by 12GB/16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage, depending on the model you opt for. Storage expansion is not available.
The OPPO Find X9 Pro, on the other hand, is fueled by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor, a 3nm chip as well. That chip is paired with 12GB/16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 flash storage. Do note that storage expansion is not available here either. The OPPO Find X9 Pro does have faster storage than the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
In terms of performance, both phones are outstanding. That goes for basically anything you throw at them. They’re blazing fast during day-to-day use, and that goes for multitasking, too, and everything else. Gaming is not a problem for either phone. Yes, they do get warm, but not too warm. Games usually run without an issue, even truly demanding games. OPPO’s phone has a bit more gaming features, if that’s of any concern.
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra vs OPPO Find X9 Pro: Battery
The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra packs in a 5,000mAh Li-Ion battery, while the OPPO Find X9 Pro includes a 7,500mAh silicon-carbon battery. OPPO went above and beyond when it comes to battery capacity inside of this phone, and that is possible thanks to silicon-carbon tech, which Samsung is not yet using.
Does the OPPO Find X9 Pro offer better battery life in comparison, however? Well, yes, it does. Don’t get us wrong, the Galaxy S26 Ultra offers great battery life, and quite frankly, it’ll be enough even for power users. Well, unless Samsung finds a way to mess it up with updates, as it did for the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The OPPO Find X9 Pro is on a different level, though. The phone offers several hours of added screen-on time in comparison, compared to the Galaxy S26 Ultra, at the very least. It’s a road warrior phone in terms of battery life.
The OPPO Find X9 Pro supports 80W wired, 50W wireless, and 10W reverse wireless charging. The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, on the other hand, supports 60W wired, 25W wireless, and 4.5W reverse wireless charging. Interestingly enough, the Galaxy S26 Ultra charges faster via a wire. It takes around 45 minutes to fully charge, compared to around an hour and 5 minutes on the OPPO Find X9 Pro. OPPO’s phone does charge faster wirelessly, though. Do note that neither phone ships with a charger in the box.
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra vs OPPO Find X9 Pro: Cameras
Samsung’s flagship includes four cameras on the back. It has a 200-megapixel main camera (f/1.4 aperture, 1/1.3-inch sensor size), along with a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera (f/1.9 aperture, 1/2.5-inch sensor size, 120-degree FoV). The third camera on its back is a 10-megapixel telephoto camera (f/2.4 aperture, 1/3.94-inch sensor size, 3x optical zoom), while the fourth is a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto unit (f/2.9 aperture, 1/2.52-inch sensor size, 5x optical zoom).

The OPPO Find X9 Pro, on the other hand, includes three cameras on the back. A 50-megapixel main camera (f/1.5 aperture, 1/1.28-inch sensor size) is backed by a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera (f/2.0 aperture, 1/2.76-inch sensor size, 120-degree FoV). The third and last camera on the back is a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto unit (f/2.1 aperture, 1/1.56-inch sensor size, 3x optical zoom).
Overall, the OPPO Find X9 Pro has better camera hardware. We also preferred images from that phone overall. They’re more contrasty, and the colors are outstanding thanks to the Hasselblad partnership. It’s a more versatile camera, and the periscope telephoto unit takes way better photos in comparison. Both main cameras are good, though they provide considerably different-looking phones; the same goes for ultrawide snappers.
Audio
Both of these smartphones have stereo speakers, and those speakers are good on both ends. They’re well-balanced and loud enough, though not nearly the loudest we’ve seen. The sound quality is good on both phones.
There is no audio jack on either device. You can utilize their Type-C ports for wired audio connectivity, though. Alternatively, Bluetooth 6.0 is available on both smartphones for wireless audio.
