OPPO unveiled the Find X9 series of flagship smartphones last October. The company is now working on their successors under the Find X10 series. OPPO will unveil the new phones around the same timeframe later this year. Ahead of the launch, the rumor mill has already spilled some details regarding a few features of these devices. Now, a couple of reliable tipsters from China suggest that the OPPO Find X10 could pack a new 64MP periscope telephoto camera for high-level zoom.
OPPO is reportedly testing two periscope zoom sensors for the Find X10 variant
According to Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the latest version of the Find X10’s engineering prototype has a 200MP primary camera with a 1/1.4-inch sensor. The company is doing A/B testing for the phone’s 3x periscope telephoto camera sensor. One of the device’s test variants has a 200MP periscope shooter with a 1/1.56-inch sensor.
The other OPPO Find X10 test version features a 64MP periscope setup with a 1/2-inch sensor. The leaker also mentioned that the larger 200MP periscope camera setup is based on Samsung’s HP5 sensor that’s currently under evaluation. As for the smaller 64MP setup, it has a newer solution that the company is testing internally.
The phone could pack a massive battery
Another gadget tipster who goes by the name Smart Pikachu on Weibo has revealed the display, camera, and battery information of the Find X10. The source claims that the phone will have a flat screen with a high refresh rate of 165Hz and 1.5K resolution. OPPO could pack the smartphone with a heavy 8,000mAh battery.
The tipster also says the OPPO Find X10 will have two 200MP rear cameras. However, Digital Chat Station claims otherwise. So, OPPO could equip the phone with a 200MP main camera, a 200MP or 64MP periscope camera, and a 50MP wide-angle shooter.
Earlier reports have suggested that OPPO will power the Find X10 series of phones with MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 9500+ processor. The brand could launch the Find X10, Find X10 Pro, and Find X10 Pro Max models in October this year. There’s also a possibility of a more high-end Find X10 Ultra variant’s launch in early 2027.
