OnePlus has just confirmed the battery capacity for its upcoming ultra-affordable smartphone. We’re talking about the OnePlus N6, of course, and the battery capacity will be 8,000mAh.
The OnePlus N6 will include a huge silicon-carbon battery
Needless to say, that’s quite a massive battery. OnePlus will, thankfully, include a silicon-carbon battery here, so the phone won’t be exceedingly thick or anything close to that. It will not be thick at all, quite the contrary.
OnePlus revealed the battery capacity via an X post, while the company also added that the phone will offer up to three days of battery life. It was also mentioned that the battery is rated to maintain its health for up to 7 years.
As many of you know at this point, the OnePlus N6 will launch on June 30. The device will launch in India, and we’re not sure if it will make its way to other markets. It would sure be nice to see it reach more markets.
This phone is said to be truly affordable
This phone is expected to cost under INR 20,000 ($211) in India, and it could be close to INR 15,000 ($159), even. Either way, it will be very affordable, hence the (initial) India market placement by OnePlus.
OnePlus has already shown us the design of this phone. It will have a flat display, flat backplates, and a flat frame. A centered display camera hole will be included at the top of the display, while two cameras will sit on the back.
When it comes to specs, well, we don’t know anything at this point. OnePlus did not reveal a single spec other than the battery capacity. It’s safe to assume that we’ll get far more information leading up to the launch date, however. We are expecting a solid set of specs despite its low price tag, though.
