OnePlus has just announced the name of its upcoming ultra-budget phone, along with its design and launch date. The phone’s name will be the OnePlus N6, and it will be the first device in the OnePlus N series.
As a reminder, we were the first to talk about OnePlus’ upcoming ultra-budget phone a while back. Back then, not a lot of details were available, but details did start trickling in recently. Well, now we have a lot more info.
The OnePlus N6 is the name of the company’s ultra-budget phone
If you check out the image below, you’ll see the device itself. Two different colors are shown here as well: black and blue models. The design is not exactly surprising, and we can easily guess thi sis a OnePlus phone.

It has a flat display with a centered display camera hole. The frame is flat all around, while its buttons are on the right side. There is no customizable key here, only the power/lock and volume up and down buttons, it seems.
The device also has a flat backplate, with a square camera island in the top-left corner. Two cameras are located inside of that camera island, and the entire module protrudes on the back, a bit.
The device will launch on June 30
OnePlus also announced that the phone will become official on June 30. It will launch in India, and we’re not sure if it will reach any more markets after that. The point is, it’s coming to India first.
OnePlus is using the “Always On. Always Smooth” tagline here, which is a hint at great battery life and smoothness. As a reminder, this phone is expected to cost less than INR 20,000 ($207). In other words, it will be immensely affordable, so we wonder what kind of specs will be included.
