A trusted source has just shared the OnePlus 16 specifications. The information comes from Digital Chat Station, one of the best-known tipsters around, as he shared the info on Weibo.
The OnePlus 16 specs leak, and they’re… jaw-dropping
The tipster says that the OnePlus 16 will be an “all-around performance flagship.” Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro will fuel the device, which is the company’s upcoming flagship chip. That will allegedly be a 2nm processor, and it will support LPDDR6 RAM.
He also mentioned a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera that will replace the OnePlus 15’s 50-megapixel telephoto snapper. That is not the first time we’re hearing that information either.
A flat display with an ultra-high refresh rate will be used, and it will be made by BOE. It was previously said that a 240Hz refresh rate will be on board. Yes, it will be an LTPO panel, and it will be able to go from 1 to 240Hz.
A 9,000mAh battery will be a part of the package
What else? Well, the tipster also says that a 9,000mAh battery will be used by the company. On to of that, an X-axis motor for hatics will be on board, as will a symmetrical dual seaker setup. Digital Chat Station also mentioned “full-level” water resistance, so we’re guessing that IP69 certification will once again be on board.
The Plus Key, which was included on the OnePlus 15, will make a comeback here. That’s a customizable button that replaced the alert slider. That’s basically everything he shared.
We’re not sure if it will launch globally
We’re still not sure whether the OnePlus 16 will launch globally. OnePlus is scaling back its operations in a number of regions, and while a global model may become a thing, it may not be available in some major markets. We’re not sure if it will launch in the US and Europe. Speaking of which, the device is expected to arrive in Q4 this year, probably in October.
