As expected, OnePlus will boost the refresh rate of its upcoming flagship. The OnePlus 15 is said to include a display with a 165Hz refresh rate. This information comes from Digital Chat Station, which is usually spot on when it comes to shared info.
The OnePlus 15 will feature a 165Hz display, it seems
Up until now, the company’s flagships and many of its cheaper models, had 120Hz displays. The company aims to change that moving forward. A recent report suggested that a mid-range phone from the company will debut a 165Hz display soon, and it seems like the OnePlus 15 will get the same benefit later this year.
The tipster also mentioned that the OnePlus 15’s display will offer a 1.5K resolution, on top of the new refresh rate. OnePlus makes that change to benefit people who like to play games, as the phone will be capable of running them at 165Hz, if supported.
The Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 processor was also mentioned. That is to be expected, as OnePlus’ flagships use Qualcomm’s most powerful chip every year. The same will be the case this year once the Snapdragon 8 Elite becomes official.
The Moon Rock Black colors could be the ultra-black color that was mentioned recently
A recent rumor mentioned that the phone will also be available in a truly black color. This info reaffirms that, as the tipster mentioned the Moon Rock Black color.
The OnePlus 13 launched in October last year, in China. The global variant arrived a couple of months after that, and the same is expected to happen this time around, unfortunately. Global users will have to wait for the OnePlus 15.
You’ll also notice that OnePlus will be skipping the OnePlus 14 name. The company did the same with the OnePlus 4. The number 4 is considered to be unlucky in China, which is why.
