Samsung isn’t done rolling out new betas of OneUI 8.5 to devices. After rolling it out to the Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and Galaxy Z Fold 7, it’s now rolling it out to the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6. This is the third beta update for these two devices, and it brings some new Galaxy AI features along with it.
The update is now rolling out in Korea and should make its way to other regions pretty soon. The Galaxy Z Flip 6 is getting firmware version F741NKSU3ZZDD and the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is getting F956NKSU3ZZDD, which both updates weighing in at over 800MB, according to SamMobile.
The update does bring in a few new Galaxy AI features like Call Screening, Creative Studio, Improved Audio Eraser, and Improved Photo Assist.
Samsung’s changelog also mentions a few bugs that were fixed, including a bug where the bottom portion of the screen flickered when using the back gesture.
When will Samsung release OneUI 8.5?
It should be fairly soon. The Galaxy S26 series launched on OneUI 8.5 last month, and the Galaxy Z Fold 8 will launch with OneUI 9 (based on Android 17) later this Summer. And where this is the third beta, we should be seeing the stable release come pretty soon.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see this update roll out before the end of next month. Samsung hasn’t made anything official just yet, however.
OneUI 8.5 is a somewhat large update, but think of this as Samsung’s mid-year update. As OneUI 9 is definitely going to be a bigger update with Android 17 in tow. That update should launch on older devices later this Fall actually, after the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Flip 8, and Galaxy Z Fold 8 wide all launch.
