For many gearheads, the death of Saab was a harsh blow to the soul. After decades of unique cars boasting well-sorted engines, drivetrains, and chassis, Saab declared bankruptcy in 2011 while under the ownership of Spyker Cars, with the final Saab model rolling off the assembly line three years later in 2014. Many folks believe General Motors owned Saab during its final days, but the Detroit conglomerate actually sold Saab to Spyker in 2010, one year before their bankruptcy filing.
