NVIDIA has come to IFA 2026 with a couple of announcements that revolve around its RTX Spark super chips, most notably the launch window, but it has also detailed specs for the hardware, and that it will have two different configurations available.
RTX Spark was initially announced by NVIDIA back at Computex 2026, but at the time it hadn’t revealed when the chips would hit the market or what they would cost. Over the past few days, the first rumblings of RTX Spark chips that would be available to consumers have started to surface, with several board partners having announced laptops and desktops this week powered by the new chips. This includes Lenovo, Dell, and Acer just to name a few. RTX Spark is NVIDIA’s first fully complete PC platform, and is geared mainly towards AI workloads and processing.
NVIDIA confirms that the RTX Spark launch window will be October 2026
NVIDIA has confirmed that its RTX Spark super chips would be available starting this coming October, and that’s in line with the release date announcements set by its board partners for laptops that will be containing mobile versions of these chips.
The company has also confirmed the specs for the two different configurations, both of which are based on Blackwell GPUs but with different core counts. For example, one config will come with 6,144 Cuda cores and the other will come with 5,120 Cuda cores. The one with 6,144 Cuda cores will also come with 20 Grace CPU cores, as well as RAM that can be as little as 24GB all the way up to 128GB. NVIDIA also confirms that these will be available for both laptops and desktops.
The other config, meanwhile, will be laptops only, and will have 18 Grace CPU cores, with RAM that starts at 24GB as well but will only go up to 32GB.
