Bugatti is no stranger to sensory excitement. As if the quad-turbocharged W16 engine in the Veyron, Chiron, and Programme Solitaire cars weren’t enough, the French-Croatian automaker is giving the naturally aspirated Tourbillon a V16 engine with a 9,000-rpm redline. Soon, however, a Bugatti could become even more involving to drive thanks to the arrival of a manual transmission, if CEO Mate Rimac’s veiled comments at Monterey Car Week are any indication.
