A new coffee shop has opened in the heart of Seattle’s Central District at Vulcan Real Estate’s 23rd & Jackson development.
Coffee TAB is a nonprofit that runs a barista training program and hires apprentices. The space it occupies at 23rd and Jackson was previously home to a Starbucks that closed in 2022. The nonprofit coffee chain has two other locations, in Pioneer Square and Belltown.
Jackson Apartments is comprised of two sustainable, mixed-income apartment buildings divided by a wide-open green space. In addition, the community has a 12,000 square-foot plaza. A joint venture between Timberlane Partners and PCCP paid $173 million for the apartments in the city’s Central District in January.
The expansive 3.6-acre site offers a wide variety of shops and services, abundant seating, green space, and common areas. The seven-story property features 532 apartment homes and 46,000 square feet of retail space.
