The Nissan GT-R recently kicked the bucket after nearly two decades on sale, the vehicle not conforming to the modern EV movement that Nissan has tried to embrace. The platform was also getting a little long in the tooth after so long in production, so it was time for the GT-R name to enjoy some slumber once more. The appetite is there from gearheads for a successor in the near future, much like there was a deep thirst for the R35 back in the day.
