- Nissan has introduced the Frontier 250th Anniversary Edition.
- It celebrates America’s semiquincentennial with a flag graphic.
- Special edition is based on the PRO-4X and doesn’t cost extra.
Trucks are about as American as apple pie, so it’s little surprise we’ve seen a number of special editions celebrating the country’s 250th anniversary. The latest comes from Nissan and is limited to 2,500 units.
However, there’s not much to get excited about as the only change is the addition of a Stars and Stripes graphic on the tailgate. Located within the “Frontier” debossing, it features a black and silver design inspired by the American flag.

The Frontier 250th Anniversary Edition is based on the PRO-4X and the graphic doesn’t cost extra. It will be offered with all colors and customers can even get it on the Frontier PRO-4X R by Roush.

Production begins next month and the special edition is presumably based on the 2027 Frontier. If that’s the case, pricing should start at $42,190.
As a refresher, the Frontier PRO-4X is an off-road focused pickup with a rugged suspension featuring Bilstein shocks. The model also has skid plates, an electronic locking rear differential, and 17-inch wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires.
Power comes from a 3.8-liter V6 engine developing 310 hp (231 kW / 314 PS) and 281 lb-ft (380 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to a nine-speed automatic transmission and a standard four-wheel drive system.
Nissan says the special edition honors the country’s semiquincentennial and their manufacturing heritage in America. The automaker began building trucks in the United States in the summer of 1983 with the 720. The Frontier followed in 1998 and over two million have been built since then.
