Niagara Launcher is widely regarded as one of the best launchers for Android at the moment, if not the best. It has been that way for a long time. The app is constantly getting unique and useful features, and a new update carrying such features has just landed.
Theme Studio has arrived to Niagara Launcher
The team behind the app, Mellowdrop Studio, has announced a Theme Studio update for the launcher. This update will allow you to do a lot of customization. It’ll allow you to create and save themes, first and foremost.
It will also allow you to customize wallpapers, icons, clock, and text, and all that with a live preview. Sharing themes with friends is now possible as well, along with exploring themes that the community shared.
If you’d like to get started with theme creation, all you need to do is navigate to Settings -> Themes -> Create Theme. From there, you can choose a wallpaper and open the new Theme Editor. From there, you’ll be able to edit the theme in detail, along with elements like clock, clock styles, and text.
Do note that you’ll need to get the Theme Studio update first, of course. It has now started to roll out to users, but do note that it may take several weeks for everyone to get it, says the company.
The company is also updating its brand identity
Now, you’ll notice that I mentioned Mellowdrop Studio earlier. If that doesn’t ring a bell, there’s a good reason for it. Along with the Theme Studio update, the team behind Niagara also announced some branding changes.
The brand name behind Niagara Launcher is now Mellowdrop Studio, which wasn’t the case before. The company says: “The new name represents the spirit we want to carry forward: young, independent, creative, and full of energy. After nearly a decade, it also felt like the right time to refresh our visual identity.”
The brand update starts with a new logo and a new website.
